Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (IATA: CAN) is the main airport of Guangzhou, the capital of China's Guangdong province. The airport's code is derived from the former Baiyun Airport and Guangzhou's historical name, Canton, written in Latin letters. Baiyun Airport serves as a hub for China Southern Airlines, FedEx Express, 9 Air, Hainan Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines.

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport was the third busiest airport in China and the 17th busiest airport in the world according to passenger traffic in 2015, hosting 55,201,915 passengers. According to cargo traffic, it is the third busiest airport in China and the 19th busiest airport in the world. Baiyun airport is also China's third busiest airport in terms of aircraft movements.

Roads

The airport is connected to Guangzhou city center via the Airport Expressway.

Metro

Train services are provided to Baiyun International Airport via Airport South Station on the Guangzhou Metro line. In the future, Airport North Station will be opened simultaneously with Terminal 2.

Buses

There are 5 Airport Express lines and 5 Airport Non-stop bus lines operating between the airport and the city center. Buses take passengers to the city's major hotels, plazas and transportation hubs, the highlights of which include: Garden Hotel, Guangdong Hotel, CITIC Plaza, Haizhu Square, Tianhe Bus Station, Guangzhou North Station and others.

The airport also provides city bus services for passengers to travel outside of Guangzhou city. These buses bring passengers to and from Dongguan, Foshan, Zhongshan, Huizhou, Jiangmen and other places.
