I always check my travel bucket list before heading to another country. Here are 8 essential things to do before traveling across the border.

International Travel Bucket List:

Now let's check this list together. With this list of things to do before traveling abroad, you can start a comfortable journey without forgetting anything.

1. Visa Information:

Do you need to get a visa before going to the country you will visit?

2. Register at the nearest embassy:

Before you leave, visit the embassy of each country you will visit. This is an important step so that the embassy can assist you more easily in case of any emergency such as passport loss or theft. It will also be easier for them to help you in case of any natural disaster.

3. Travel Health Insurance:

I always have my travel health insurance when traveling to any different country. This covers many urgent situations, such as sudden health problems, trip cancellations and luggage delays.

4. Required travel vaccinations:

Check with your local healthcare provider about the required vaccinations for the country you are visiting and get those recommended for that region.

5. Photocopy of important documents:

Make photocopies of your passport, credit cards, driver's license and documents related to your travels. I usually carry a copy with me and send it to my e-mail. Also, carry your passport photos with you in case you need to obtain a visa on the road.

6. It's a good idea to join a mile flight program where you will earn miles for every flight you take.

If I am going to fly with a flight program that is not covered by my card's program, then I sign up for their program. You don't know when you will reach the same career again. Keep a copy of your tickets to make sure you get all your miles. Mileage programs will ask for a copy of your ticket when you want to know why they are not counting your miles.

7. Carry a table with the exchange rates of the countries you will visit.

If you carry an iPod with you, you can download the table covering the exchange rate and you will not have to bother with carrying paper with you.

8. Write down the main phrases of the country you are going to visit.

If you have a guidebook they usually include these. But I don't usually carry these books with me and I prefer to go by learning "thank you", "hello", "sorry" and some other expressions that may be necessary.
