Let's Get to Know Macau

The city, which was a Portuguese colony for more than 300 years, is home to mixed cultures. There are historical Chinese temples along the pavements paved with traditional Portuguese stones. The streets ring with the pronunciation of Portuguese names in the Cantonese dialect. You can eat Chinese "congee" for breakfast, and taste Portuguese delicacies 'caldo verde' soup and 'andbacalhau' for lunch. For dinner, you can try 'minchi' (minced meat, pork or beef served over rice) from Macau's hybrid cuisine.
